The Golan Heights (Arabic: الجولان al-Jawlān, Hebrew: הגולן ha-Golan) is a strategic plateau and mountainous region at the southern end of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. The geographic area lies within, or borders, the countries of Israel, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
