I went from not being able to run a mile to 5-6 miles @ 8-9 min/mile pace. Took me about 3 months, but it can be done. good high school times are at least sub 5 Tru. I was shotput, discus, java. We gotta run in one event though, so they'd stick the fat asses like me on the mile and call the event a washout in meets.
