An`tho*zo"a\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. 'a`nqos flower + ? animal.] (Zo["o]l.) The class of the C[oe]lenterata which includes the corals and sea anemones. The three principal groups or orders are Acyonaria, Actinaria, and Madreporaria.
