Joiada

After the death of Joiada, the younger son, trusting in the countenance of Bagoas, came forward to seize the high-priest's diadem.

So the king commanded Banaias, the son of Joiada: and he went out and struck him; and he died.

And king Joas called Joiada, the high priest, and the priests, saying to them: Why do you not repair the temple?

And Joiada prince of the race of Aaron, and with him three thousand seven hundred.

Joiada the high priest causeth Joas to be made king: Athalia to be slain, and idolatry to be destroyed.
