Cape, a cape in NW France, in the English Channel near Cherbourg: the NW extremity of the Cotentin Peninsula.

The ships beyond the reefs were streaming away discomfited to the north-east, in the direction of La Hague.

They were buried at a village near La Hague, and the jug is still shown in which they were baptized.

Beyond it again lay the coast of France, the tall white cliffs, the dark blue smoky curve ending in Cap de la Hague.

I suppose tomorrow you will get round the Cape de la Hague, captain?
