Lake Ontario

My mother comes from a part of New York that is essentially Canada, just the other side of Lake Ontario.

I had, yesterday, quite an interesting excursion to one of these ancient places of sepulture north of the head of Lake Ontario.

But on Lake Ontario the naval events, though in no case comparable with Perry's famous victory, were numerous and noteworthy.

But Stanley has traced it out so plainly, that the outline of the shore is as distinct as that of Lake Ontario.

Now, we must say, that this is a sorry exhibit for the outlet to a lake almost twice as long as Lake Ontario.

The Iroquois, dwelling south of Lake Ontario, were a little more civilized than their neighbors, and built more permanent houses.
