Montezuma II (1466–1520), Aztec emperor of Mexico. Montezuma was emperor of the Aztecs at the time of the Spanish conquest. Montezumatried to appease the Spanish but failed and was captured by them and deposed. During the ensuing Aztec revolt he was either killed by his own people or murdered by the Spanish. For the injustice doneto him, he continues to wreak vengeance against the latter-day hordes of invading tourists.
