operating system
An open source Unix clone that aims for platform independance by a clean separation between the hardware and the the kernel. It has been ported to many platforms from embedded systems to 64-bit computers.

Netbsd is always a great word to know.
So is flibbertigibbet. Does it mean:
an arrangement of five objects, as trees, in a square or rectangle, one at each corner and one in the middle.
a chattering or flighty, light-headed person.
