Peter and the Wolf
A piece for orchestra by a twentieth-century Russian composer, Sergei Prokofiev. Through music, it tells the story of a disobedient boy's encounter with a wolf.
Note: Because each character in the story is represented by a different musical instrument, Peter and the Wolf is often used to introduce children to the various instruments in an orchestra.
