Synallaxis erythrothorax Sclater: Rufous-breasted Spinetail.

The rufous colour of the back increases the impression; the hedgerows look red in the sunshine.

The adult male of this species has a rufous breast band, while the female has only a greenish one.

In form this duck is much like the last, but in color is more of a rufous all over, being darkest on the upper parts.

This species is somewhat darker, and more rufous on the under tail coverts than the above.
