Zomba

The government capital of the protectorate, however, is Zomba, at the base of the mountain of that name.

This range is called Milanjé; on the west stands Mount Zomba, 7000 feet in height, and some twenty miles long.

Zomba was pointed out as a chief on a range of hills on our west: beyond him lies Undi m'senga.

Next morning they started early, and towards evening drew near to Zomba.

Mr. Hetherwick has now returned to his mission station, some fifty miles to the northeast, under Mount Zomba.
