Agency Bonds

A bond issued by a government agency. These bonds are not fully guaranteed in the same sense as U.S. Treasury and Municipal bonds.

Investopedia Commentary

These bonds do not include those issued by the U.S. Treasury or Municipalities. The include such agencies as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Sallie Mae, and the Federal Home Loan Banks.
