amidohydrolase am·i·do·hy·dro·lase (ām'ĭ-dō-hī'drə-lās', -lāz', ə-mē'-) n. An enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the C-N bond in an amide. Also called deamidase, deamidizing enzyme.
