angostura bark

[ang-guh-stoor-uh, -styoor-uh, ang-]
the bitter, aromatic bark of either of two South American citrus trees, Galipea officinalis or G. cusparia, used in medicine and in the preparation of liqueurs and bitters.
Also called angostura.
