Antiscians
An*tis"cians\, Antiscii \An*tis"ci*i\, n. pl. [L. antiscii, Gr. ?, pl.; ? against + ? shadow.] The inhabitants of the earth, living on different sides of the equator, whose shadows at noon are cast in opposite directions. The inhabitants of the north and south temperate zones are always Antiscians. --Brande & C.
