the skeletal remains of Homo erectus of the middle Pleistocene Epoch found in a cave in the French Pyrenees.
Also called Tautauvel man.


Origin:
after the name of the cave (French La Caune de l’Arago), near the village of Tautavel (Pyrénées-Orientales)
