azurophil a·zu·ro·phil (ā-zh&oobreve;r'ə-fĭl', āzh'ə-rō-fĭl') or a·zu·ro·phile (-fīl', -fĭl') adj. Staining readily with an azure dye. Used especially in reference to certain cytoplasmic granules in white blood cells.
