Brünnhilde [(broohn-hil-duh)]

A character in Norse mythology, also known by the name Brynhild. Brünnhilde, a Valkyrie, or woman servant of Odin, loved the hero Siegfried. After she found out that he had deceived her, she had him killed and committed suicide.
