Bue·na Vis·ta   (bwā'nə vĭs'tə, bwě'nä vēs'tä)   
A locality in northern Mexico just south of Saltillo. In the Mexican War U.S. forces led by Zachary Taylor defeated a Mexican army commanded by Santa Anna on February 22-23, 1847.
