The branching and inosculating ovarian cca form a layer, which corresponds with the mass filling up the peduncle in the Lepadid.

This cement-gland is proved, by the clearest series of facts, to be converted into the incipient ovaria and ovarian cca.

The ovarian cca, form a thick layer at the bottom of the sack; they do not appear to extend up the shell round the sack.

The stomach, in Alcippe, is much corrugated, so as to be deeply pitted; but there are no regular cca.

Its name is Braula cca, and it is an exceedingly minute creature.
