chemodectoma che·mo·dec·to·ma (kē'mō-děk-tō'mə, kěm'ō-)
n.
A relatively rare, usually benign tumor originating in chemoreceptor tissue. Also called aortic-body tumor, carotid-body tumor, glomus jugulare tumor, nonchromaffin paraganglioma.
