Chichén Itzá

Later in history a prince named Cukulcan arrived from the west and established himself at Chichen-Itza.

He then prepared himself to undertake the more difficult and dangerous visit to Chichen-Itza.

We had seen their portraits carved on the pillars of the fortress at Chichen-Itza.

During these years of their government of the province of Bacalar, occurred the discovery (conquest) of Chichen Itza.

Evidently it was a widespread legend of the origin of the great buildings of Chichen Itza.
