Churg, Jacob (b 1910), and
Strauss, Lotte (b 1913), American pathologists. Churg and Strauss spent virtually the whole oftheir medical careers at Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical School in New York City. Churg's areas of research included vascular diseases, renal structure and diseases, and pneumoconioses. Straussspecialized in pediatric pathology. They described the syndrome that bears their names in articles published in 1951.
