Clearwater River  
  1. A river, about 209 km (130 mi) long, of northwest Saskatchewan and northeast Alberta, Canada. It joins the Athabasca River at Fort McMurray.

  2. A river rising in the Bitterroot Range of northern Idaho and flowing about 306 km (190 mi) generally west to join the Snake River at Lewiston. Gold was discovered along the river in 1860.
