a medium-sized wild cat, Felis nebulosa, with brownish-gray fur spotted or striped with black, native to southeastern Asia and Indonesia: an endangered species.

First recorded in 1905–10

Little is known of the habits of the clouded leopard, but it preys on small mammals and birds, and rarely comes to the ground.

But the leopard and the clouded leopard are permanent residents and fairly common.

The marbled-cat is a miniature edition of the clouded leopard, and the leopard-cat of the common leopard.

The Clouded Leopard, F. nebulosa, is an animal of considerable size (6 feet total length).
