Co*ai"ta\ (k[-o]*[aum][i^]"t[.a]), n. (Zo["o]l.) The native name of certain South American monkeys of the genus Ateles, esp. A. paniscus. The black-faced coaita is Ateles ater. See Illustration in Appendix.
