Cockayne's syndrome Cock·ayne's syndrome (kŏ-kānz')
A hereditary syndrome characterized by dwarfism, precociously senile appearance, pigmentary degeneration of the retina, optic atrophy, deafness, sensitivity to sunlight, and mental retardation.
