Coffin-Siris syndrome Cof·fin-Sir·is syndrome (kŏfĭn-sĭr'ĭs)

An inherited syndrome that in males causes mental retardation with wide bulbous nose and low nasal bridge, moderate hirsutism, and digital anomalies with nail hypoplasia. In females the syndrome may cause digital abnormalities and mild mental retardation. Also called Coffin-Lowry syndrome.
