a confidential statement made to a lawyer, doctor, or pastor, or to one's husband or wife, privileged against disclosure in court if the privilege is claimed by the client, patient, penitent, or spouse.
Also called privileged communication.

Confidential communication is always a great word to know.
So is trial. Does it mean:
the examination before a judicial tribunal of the facts put in issue in a cause, often including issues of law as well as those of fact
a judicial decision given by a judge or court; the obligation a debt; the certificate embodying such a decision and issued against the obligor
