Cousteau   (k-stō')  Pronunciation Key 
French underwater explorer who helped develop the Aqua-Lung (an underwater breathing apparatus) and designed the bathyscaphe and a small, deep-sea submarine known as a diving saucer. Cousteau also devised an underwater television system and produced several films that widely popularized marine biology.
