a fee, in addition to the cost of food and drink, charged by a restaurant, nightclub, etc., for entertainment. Also called cover. Compare minimum ( def 4 ).

Cover charge is always a great word to know.
So is quincunx. Does it mean:
an arrangement of five objects, as trees, in a square or rectangle, one at each corner and one in the middle.
an extraordinary or unusual thing, person, or event; an exceptional example or instance.
