cyanose tardive cy·a·nose tardive (sī'ə-nōz', -nōs')
Cyanosis caused by congenital heart disease in which there is an abnormal communication between systemic and pulmonary circulations; cyanosis appears only when there is a right-to-left shunt, such as that which occurs after exercise or late in the course of the disease. Also called tardive cyanosis.
