a girl or woman who behaves in a sexually provocative and permissive way without yielding her virginity.
Also called demi-virgin [dem-ee-vur-jin, dem-ee-vur-] .


Origin:
< French: literally, half-virgin; after Les demi-vierges (1894), a novel by French writer Marcel Prévost (1862–1940)
