Demodex folliculorum Demodex fol·lic·u·lo·rum (fə-lĭk'yə-lôr'əm)
The follicular or mange mite, a very common, universally distributed, probably nonpathogenic species parasitic to human hair follicles and sebaceous glands usually around the nose and scalp margins.
