Di*pro"to*don\, n. [Gr. di- = di`s- twice + ? first + ?, ?, tooth.] (Paleon.) An extinct Quaternary marsupial from Australia, about as large as the hippopotamus; -- so named because of its two large front teeth. See Illustration in Appendix.
