elastosis e·las·to·sis (ĭ-lā-stō'sĭs, ē'lā-)
n.

  1. A degenerative change in elastic tissue.

  2. The degeneration of connective tissue in the skin, in such a manner that many tissues resemble elastin when stained. Also called elastoid degeneration.
