noun, plural electrocauteries. Medicine/Medical.
a hand-held, needlelike cautery heated by an electric current.
Also, electrocauterization. the process of cutting and cauterizing skin simultaneously, or coagulating blood from vessels around a surgical incision, by means of an electrocautery.
