elevator muscle of angle of mouth n.
A muscle with origin from the canine fossa of the maxilla, with insertion into the orbicular muscle of the mouth and into the skin at the corner of the mouth, with nerve supply from the facial nerve, and whose action raises the corner of the mouth.
