end piece or endpiece
The terminal part of the tail of a spermatozoon, consisting of the axoneme and the flagellar membrane.
The ball is rounded out of this end piece same as was done in making the balls for the door knocker.
The end piece can then be taken off, and the fiber clinging to it, which stops the holes, be removed.
Flattening the end piece hardens it so that it must be annealed.
Saw the sides of the box in half, crosswise, and remove the upper half and the end piece.
Place a cook pot on the range, containing the end piece of a small ham; partly cover with water.
Wrap and tie the top loops of the end piece to the top rope as shown in illustration.
The end piece and rim connect with the socket so that an electric current may flow through the filament of the lamp.
Two platinum wires fused in the glass connect the carbon filament with the grooved rim and the end piece of the base.
This end piece is beveled to conform to the top and bottom edges of the cart, as shown in the side view.
