epidemic nonbacterial gastroenteritis n.
An epidemic, communicable, but rather mild disease of sudden onset caused by epidemic gastroenteritis virus and characterized by fever, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headache. Also called acute infectious nonbacterial gastroenteritis.
