Er"thine\, n. [Gr. ?; ? in + ?, ?, nose: cf. F. errhin.] (Med.) A medicine designed to be snuffed up the nose, to promote discharges of mucus; a sternutatory. --Coxe. -- a. Causing or increasing secretion of nasal mucus.
