In the same order are two species of Everlasting Pea (Lathyrus), both of which grow in thickets and other bushy places.

The everlasting pea is a sprawling, quick grower, having many flowers in a cluster, and blooming in August.

The sweet pea and everlasting pea belong to the genus Lathyrus.
