fibrocystic disease of breast n.
A benign disease common in women in their thirties, forties, and fifties, marked by small fluid-containing cysts that form in one or both breasts and associated with stromal fibrosis and variable degrees of intraductal epithelial hyperplasia and sclerosing adenosis. Also called cystic disease of breast.
