A bandage applied alternately to two parts, usually two segments of a limb above and below the joint, in such a way that the turns describe the figure 8.
A figure-of-8 bandage should be applied over pads of dry lint, and the limb laid on a pillow.
Fig. 13 is a cross, or figure-of-8 bandage, exceedingly useful when applied to the turn of a joint, as in the sketch.
