Gimáberánat y Arábós /kim-ber-'nät-E-är-'bOs/, Antoniode (1734–1816), Spanish surgeon and anatomist. Gimbernat was a pioneer in ophthalmology, vascular surgery, and urology. He demonstrated the ligament that now bears his name in 1768,although he did not publish a description of it until 1779.
