Hal`i*chon"dri*[ae]\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gr. ?, ?, sea + ? cartilage.] (Zo["o]l.) An order of sponges, having simple siliceous spicules and keratose fibers; -- called also Keratosilicoidea.
