hypokalemic periodic paralysis hy·po·ka·le·mic periodic paralysis (hī'pō-kə-lē'mĭk)
n.
An inherited form of periodic paralysis characteriezed by attacks in which the serum potassium level is low and respiratory paralysis may occur. Onset usually occurs between the ages of 7 and 21 years.
