idioisolysin id·i·o·i·sol·y·sin (ĭd'ē-ō-ī-sŏl'ĭ-sĭn, -ī'sə-lī'sĭn)
An idiolysin occurring in the blood of an animal and capable of combining with red blood cells from an animal of the same species, thereby causing hemolysis when complement is present.
