Kailasa

All around were swan-white mansions, lofty domes and turrets high, Like the peaks of white Kailasa cleaving through the azure sky!

O Kunti's son, thou hast heard what the sage (Lomasa) had said regarding mount Kailasa.

Shiva conducts Parvati and the boy back to Mount Kailasa, where gods and fairies welcome them with music and dancing.

On their west side is a vast peak named Kailasa, which the Hindus suppose to be the residence of the Gods.

Beyond the summit of this Kailasa cliff, is seen the path of the celestial sages.
