The third quality is "dry" and comes principally from the Karpas.

A useful stamp of pony mare is also to be found in the Karpas.

Hams and sausages are much eaten, the latter especially in the Karpas.

This crop is sown in the plains in January, but in the Karpas and some other parts it is sown in the autumn.
